Danny Gokey has been sailing through the competition as one of the top contestants every week. It’s hard not to like him with his down to earth attitude and nice-guy demeanor. Danny was getting some flack early on for mentioning his wife quite a bit, but I highly doubt that was merely to get sympathy - it was probably just on his mind constantly. Although he may not always pick exactly the right song, his voice is undeniably soulful and the man can sing.
