Headlines: Footloose Update: Has Chace Stepped Into Zac’s Sunday Shoes?

Here is a preview of the article from broadway.com:

TV heartthrob Chace Crawford may sing and dance in the Hollywood remake of Footloose, reports E! Online. This past weekend, the Gossip Girl star tested for the part of Ren McCormack, the restless tune-happy teen originally played onscreen by Kevin Bacon, and a source is quoted as saying, “He did really well.”
High School Musical star Zac Efron was set to play the part until
last week, when he withdrew from the multimillion-dollar project in order to distance himself from the movie-musical genre with which he is closely associated. In addition to three HSM films, Efron also appeared in the 2007 remake of Hairspray and appeared last month in a production number celebrating musicals during the 2009 Academy Awards ceremony.
Efron had recently received the blessing of original Footloose star Kevin Bacon and spoken enthusiastically of the project to MTV News, explaining he “couldn’t be more excited” about the film and the support of Bacon.

a Recap of Gossip Girl

here is a preview of the article from losangelestimes.com:
Blair Waldorf, I feel your pain. Just as B had impatiently waited for sparks to fly with Nate on last night's "Gossip Girl," I, as a viewer, felt as if I had to endure a forehead kiss before getting the satisfaction of a snowy Central Park make-out session. Jenny's Sweet 16 debacle was entertaining and all, but the good stuff really occurred within the last quarter of the episode.
Those last 15 minutes were a doozy. First we meet Serena's future love interest, Gabriel, the international playboy who clearly has met old Serena during one of her mysterious European adventures. He starts out dating her socialite friend Poppy Lifton, who could have reentered the scene without the hideous bob. Throughout the episode, Serena is desperate to get her groove back. She uses Jenny's 16th birthday as an excuse to throw a party that will prove she's still got social muscle. The plan backfires when Jenny, enraged that S ignored her wishes of spending a quiet game night with the fam, alerts Gossip Girl of the party and thus invites the unhip masses. This is the last straw for S, who spontaneously jets off to Spain with Poppy and Gabriel because that is clearly where she'll find her lost mojo.

'Gossip Girl' Star Chace Crawford Auditions For 'Footloose'

here is a preview of the article from mtv.com:

Just a week after Zac Efron dropped out of the "Footloose" remake, we've gotten word that another pretty face has been linked to the project. According to reports, "Gossip Girl" star Chace Crawford has auditioned for the role.
"He did really well," a source told
E! News. Crawford's name originally came up after gossip blogs and Web sites began suggesting him as a replacement for Efron.
After Efron dropped out of the film to pursue other types of roles, Paramount released a statement saying they remain committed to the Kenny Ortega-helmed film. Ortega also did the "High School Musical" movies with Efron.
" 'Footloose' is a project we've longed to see rebooted for a new generation. While Zac is no longer attached, we remain excited and committed to the collective brain trust of [director] Kenny Ortega, [producers] Neil Meron and Craig Zaden, who will reinvigorate the franchise," a Paramount Pictures rep told UsMagazine.com. "Their fresh take on the film will undoubtedly be filled with the same kind of breakout performances that we've come to expect from them."

My Gossip Girl Recap

By Kristina Chen
Written on: March 31, 2009
Vanessa and Nate break up after he claims that he doesn't have feelings for Blair. Jenny turns sixteen years old and doesn't like the party Serena throws for her. She posted her birthday party on Gossip Girl. After that the police come when her father and Serena's mother arrive. There were too many kids at Jenny's party. At the end Blair and Nate end up kissing in the park after he told Blair that he just wants to be friends. It didn't look like they were just friends. After that Chuck and Vanessa wanted to make Blair and Nate Jealous. That ends up leaving Chuck and Vanessa having sex and not wanting to tell anyone.

I think that Chuck and Vanessa look weird together. I thought that Blair would end up with Chuck. I also think that the next episode will be better than ever. Serena goes to Spain with her old friend Poppy. What kind of name is that? I mean really? I would also like to see if this thing with Chuck and Vanessa would last even this thing with Nate a Blair. We all remember the last time Nate and Blair were together. Last time Nate was mad at Chuck and Blair for her having sex with Chuck. Also, for Chuck having sex with Blair. It was just some messed up world she was living in. Now Nate and Chuck barely speak to each other since that happened. Let’s just say that Blair’s messed up life broke the two of them up as being friends.

Michael Sarver from American Idol is still happy to go home

original posted on:March 28,2009

Michael Sarver wasn't too sad that he got to go home from American Idol. He says that he is happy about going home to his wonderful family. Here is preview of another interview with Michael:
During the preliminaries, Simon Cowell pleaded with America to vote for Michael Sarver, this season’s “nice guy,” an oil rig worker from Texas who sang “Thank You” by Boyz II Men during his first audition. But when America rang the gong, the judges declined to bring him back.
Still, Sarver can’t help but smile.

He sang “Ain’t Too Proud to Beg” on his way out of the Top 10, but,
as IdolTracker blogger Phil Stacey put it, he left a class act. Post-elimination, he talks about singing for his life, the pressure to go country and that now-famous signature grin. How are you feeling after last night’s events?Feeling great. I am a very happy man.

How do you feel about the judges’ decision not to save you? I’m OK with it. They have to make a decision based on what they believe the future of the show holds. If they thought that I wasn’t quite winning material, then that’s the decision they had to make, and I respect it. Do I believe that I still have what it takes to win? Absolutely. I believe I’m a winner.
The judges didn’t make their decision immediately when you were done “singing for your life.” Were you surprised with the outcome? It was actually very cool that they had to think about it. They hadn’t thought so hard with other contestants. I was very, very complimented by the fact that they did think about it, and that whatever I did last night made them think about it. That tells me I do have what it takes to impact the world musically. That was very encouraging.

My American Idol Recap

My American Idol recap
By Kristina Chen
Written date: March 26, 2009

Originaly posted on March 28, 2009
I had just finished watching American Idol TV’s most popular show ever, and I wanted to just give my recap and my opinion of what I thought. When I saw that Scott was in the bottom three I was so shocked. I did not know where to begin. My heart was beating so fast and I was kind of in a panic. At first I cried sad tears but then when I heard that he was safe I just cried happy tears. I never thought that he would be in the bottom three. I just thought that no one was going to like Megan after the judges did not like her performance. I was so surprised when I saw Michael in the bottom three. Michael had to sing to save himself. The judges did not like him that much. I just think that it was sad to see Michael go home but he is lucky that he still gets to go on tour. I think that Michael is a great singer and I will miss seeing him on stage performing. I think that Megan and Adam should go home. I really think Megan is going to go no where.

I will be very surprised if Scott goes home before Megan but that will never happen. I truly believe in Scott. I like Scott because he is a great guy and he learns music just by listening to the notes. He is blind and no one should judge him because he is blind. I also think that he is amazing at all that he does. He acts like a normal person who is not blind but he is not. I like all that he does and that includes him loving Jesus. I had seen a few days ago that he was on the 100 Huntley Street and he talked about his faith and how he loves God. Also how he wrote a song called No Fear when he was fifteen. He had graduated from college at the age of nineteen. I hope that he will be in the top five singing his heart out. If he goes home then I will be so sad. He will be the next American Idol. He is not the only person that I liked. I like these guys all in order: Michael, Anoop, Kris, Danny, and Scott. I think what Kris sang was a really good song for him and I think that he is amazing. I love him playing the guitar.

I think that Danny Gokey has what it is that will keep him staying to the top five. I loved his performance of Get Ready. I am not that old but I watch a lot of TV to know that I have heard that song from some old movie or TV show. I just loved it. He is amazing. I think Danny or Scott will be the next American Idol, not ADAM! I thought that Anoop did really good. He was one of the best ones. I think that he did a good job at making a come back. He made a come back since after he sang Beat It. I know that he will go every far. If anyone of the guys that I like will go home then I will be sad and very surprised. I also know that everyone can’t stay on the show forever. I know if anyone of them go home like Michael did then I will still like them. I am glad that I have started to watch this season of American Idol because they had more talented people then before. The only winner of American Idol that I liked was Kelly Clarkson and I hope Adam will not be the next American Idol.

Michael Sarver from American Idol is happy to go home

Here is a preview of the interview Michael did with realitytv.com
Orignialy posted on March 28, 2009

Michael Sarver had his suspicions that he may be the next finalist sent home following the lukewarm reception to his performance on American Idol's Wednesday night performance show. However the 27-year-old from Jasper, TX said he no longer had any questions about his fate once he was left standing alone on stage with Matt Giraud during Thursday's live results show.
"Standing there actually with him [and knowing one of us was the lowest vote-getter] actually made me more confident that I was going home, because really, he shined the night before and there was just no way, in my mind, that after something like that they would send the fella home," Sarver told reporters of Giraud -- whom he roomed with during part of the competition -- during a media conference call the day after his elimination. "[Giraud] was incredible and it was an incredible opportunity to work with him," he added.

Sarver said although he felt his Thursday night performance of The Temptations' "Ain't Too Proud to Beg" was better than the version he had delivered while he was still recovering from an illness on Wednesday night's show -- "[it was] stronger because I was stronger" he explained -- he hadn't expected judges Simon Cowell, Paula Abdul, Randy Jackson and Kara DioGuardi to use "The Judges' Save" on him despite their discussion following his performance.
