My Gossip Girl recap

This week was all about thanksgiving but was it all about giving and being thankful? All of the wrong people were invited to Lily's house for thanksgiving. First there was Trip and his wife then Blair, her mom, and Chuck. Next you have Nate and Vanessa plus you have Vanessa's mom, who comes out of no where. After all of that there was Lily's mom, who she doesn't care for that much except when she is sick. Lily is sharing a secret with her mom about some trip she took. Will we find out what that is? No one really doesn't even know. Who will Serena choose next week? Will it be Nate or Trip? No one doesn't know. Will Dan finally tell Vanessa that he loves her? What will really happen?
On the next episode of Gossip Girl, Serena gets into a car crash after Trip says that he can't live without her. That is one thing he shouldn't have done. I hope that Nate will fight hard to win Serena over. Nate is better than Trip and is better looking. I will add a poll at the top and please tell me what you think. I think Serena is way out of her mind and she should have not chosen Trip. It was a big mistake. I think Serena will have to leave Trip alone after his wife finds out a secret about Serena's long lost father, once she threatens her with the letter. Let's watch next's week's episode to see if it answers all of your questions.

My Gossip Girl recap

I think what Dan did was totally dumb because he lost them both. I know that Vanessa and Dan like each other. I think that Olivia will not come back to Dan once she comes back. Serena needs to get rid of Trip and to give Nate another chance. I think now with everything that happened, that Nate and Serena should date. Nothing is like the old days and I think Jenny Humphrey has turned into a brat and shouldn't get what she wants at every moment.
On the next episode of Gossip Girl people are asking lots of questions just like always. Will Serena choose Nate or Trip? Will Trip get a divorce? What will happen to Vanessa and Dan? Will they admit they have feelings for each other? Will Trip lose his chance as being a congressmen? What will happen to Blair now? Will people still ignore her or will she finally make some friends? No one really doesn't know anything. All of your questions will be answered when you watch the all knew episode of Gossip Girl on November 30, just days after thanksgiving.

Backstreet Boys This is Us review

Backstreet Boys This is Us Review
                                              Written by: Kristina Chen
I give this album and A for their effort and for their promoting the album. I also think this is the best album they have done because they getting more into the public scene like before. If no one else gives them an A then they do not know what they are talking about. My most favorite song from the album is Shattered because it talks about how heart broken someone can really be. Also about how someone can lose love and when it turns out to be something ugly. I have the order of the songs on how I like them.
1.      Shattered
2.      Straight through my heart
3.      Bye Bye Love
4.      If I knew Then
5.      This is Us
6.      Undone
7.      Bigger
8.      She’s a dream
9.      Masquerade
10.  All of your life(you need Love)
11.  PDA

These guys have been through a lot and they have given everything to do this album. They have even added some dance moves to their performances and music videos. Two of them Brian Littrell and Howie Dorough are almost forty but they are not letting that stop them. They have as much energy as their other band mates who are almost in their thirty’s. These guys deserve the credit that went into this album. I think that everyone should buy this album because it is one of their best ones and it reminds you of their earlier stuff they did.

Premiere of shows on Monday 9/14

There were lots of premiere of shows that included Gossip Girl and Lincoln Heights. I really don't watch any of the other premieres.

Lincoln Heights is about Eddie Sutton is a police officer who moved his family to his old neighborhood called Lincoln Heights. Eddie wants to make Lincoln Heights better and a safe place for his family.  His family also has to adjust at living in a new neighborhood with a new school and neighbors. Cassie soon falls in love with a guy named Charles.

Here is the commercial for Lincoln Heights
Gossip Girl is about
Gossip Girl features ensemble cast of nine regular speaking roles which were mainly adapted from the book series. The series began with the mysterious arrival of former 'it girl' Serena van der Woodsen (Blake Lively), who attempts to start a new page in her life with her friends and family. Dan Humphrey (Penn Badgley), an outsider who becomes a part of the turbulent Manhattan scene, is Serena's main love interest whom she starts dating in the first episode. Blair Waldorf (Leighton Meester) is a beautiful Queen Bee of Manhattan's social scene, Serena's best friend, ally, and often rival, on whom the show is strongly focused. Nate ArchibaldChace Crawford) is wealthy and popular guy, always confused with his feeling and the paths in his life. Chuck Bass (Ed Westwick) serve as the show's antihero, he is a womanizer and party lover with a troubled life and past. The five mentioned characters serve as the show's focal point, while the other characters contribute in subplots. Jenny Humphrey (Taylor Momsen) is Dan's younger sister, who desperately tries to become the next Queen Bee, a goal that makes her realize the true values of life, which she eventually accomplishes. Vanessa Abrams (Jessica Szohr) who enters the show in its first season as Dan's past love, becomes a series regular after the 14th episode of the first season, where her storyline drastically changes and she falls deeply for Nate. (A major subplot in the show involves Serena's mother Lily van der Woodsen (Kelly Rutherford) and Dan's father Rufus Humphrey (Matthew Settle), both of whom share a romantic past which follows them throughout the show, and eventually leads to marriage. Other characters include Eric van der Woodsen (Connor Paolo) Serena's overly caring gay brother, who becomes very close with Jenny; and Georgina Sparks (Michelle Trachtenberg), the main antagonist in the show, but with a recurring role. The Stepfather

Penn Badgley stars in the hit TV show called Gossip Girl but he is going to be in a new movie called The Stepfather. This movie is a scary movie and it looks ok, for a scary movie. Penn has looked less dorky then he usually does on Gossip Girl. Here is what the movie is about:

Dylan Walsh stars as David Harris, very much a "family values" man who mysteriously comes into the lives of single mothers with children and becomes the dream man they always wanted. When he woos Susan Harding (Sela Ward) and eventually moves in with her family, her teenage son Michael (Penn Badgley) begins to suspect that David is not quite the dream man he pretends to be. Along with his girlfriend Kelly (Amber Heard) and Susan’s friends (Paige Turco and Sherry Stringfield) they slowly start to piece together the mystery of the man who is set to become his stepfather, but they may be too late in getting to the truth. Backstreet Boys are every where

The Backstreet Boys have been the the daily ten twice this year. The boys also came out with a new music video for Straight Through My Heart. Here is a video of the guys on the Daily 10.

Backstreet Boys with Rolling Stone

Backstreet Boys have an article with rollingstone.com from rolling stone magazine. This time the boys are talking about their new album This is Us that will be coming out on October 6th, 2009. Here is a preview of the article:
Call them pop’s longest-running, most persistent group. Call them men, not boys. Just don’t call it a comeback. “We almost named the album that,” jokes Nick Carter, one-fourth of the Backstreet Boys, whose seventh studio effort, This Is Us, is slated for release on October 6th. “We’re the Brett Favres of the music industry.” Clearly, he and his bandmates are fed up with the public perception that they’ve taken an extended time out. They’re not ‘NSync, after all. “It does frustrate me,” says Brian Littrell. “Everybody asks, ‘Where have you been? What have you been doing?’ When we’re, like, ‘We’ve been touring the world, and working our butts off!’ ”
OK, so maybe the boy-band racket isn’t what it used to be. There are no million-plus first week sellers in today’s music business, and so many outlets vying for your attention that it’s easy to miss a respectable showing like Backstreet’s 2007 album, Unbreakable. Which is one reason why A.J. McLean, Howie Dorough, Carter and Littrell are looking back to a proven formula with This Is Us. “The idea was going back to those great R&B ballads as well as dance songs you can shake your butt to,” McLean explains. “And we were fortunate enough to work with some amazing writers and producers who got our concept and everything fit perfectly.”
Among the industry heavies to lend a hand: Ne-Yo, T-Pain, Pitbull, Ryan Tedder, Max Martin, RedOne, and beatmaker Jim Johnson. “The production on this record has been pushed a little more,” says McLean. “It’s edgy and current but also shows our love for the pop-R&B that we grew up on.” Carter interjects: “Jodeci, Boys II Men, Shai, New Edition… we had to go back and remember our influences and what taught us in the years when we were developing into a band.” And Littrell adds that if you were to take away all the bells and whistles, the basics of the song with that Backstreet sweet spot is what defines their raison d’etre. “That’s why Michael Jackson was a true artist,” he says, “because you could take away every beat and every layer and just dance to his voice. That vocal instrument is what we’ve always known, and I can honestly say without this sounding egotistical: when we sing collectively, there is a magic.”

Hilary Duff on Diva rumor

Hilary Duff heard a rumor that she is a diva. Do you guys think it is true? She is currently filming the third season of Gossip Girl and this is probably why there is a rumor about her being a diva. She is not a diva. Here is a preview of the article from sfgate.com:

Rumors swirled that Duff had infuriated the show's cast after refusing to leave her trailer as the others waited to film near Manhattan's Gramercy Park neighborhood, causing a massive delay in shooting.
A source claims, "No one could believe they would actually hold up taping for her. Nobody in the cast behaves like that."

Hilary Duff on Gossip Girl

Hilary Duff is welcomed to the set of the season three of Gossip Girl! Here is a preview of the article from people.com:
She’s the new kid on the Gossip Girl block, but Hilary Duff says the star-studded cast is making her feel right at home.
“Everyone’s been really, really gracious to me and sweet to me,” Duff told reporters Thursday night at a NYC celebration for Charlotte Ronson’s I “Heart” Ronson collection for JCPenney.
Duff reportedly will play Olivia Burke, a movie star who enrolls at New York University and rooms with Jessica Szohr’s character, Vanessa.
“I’m a huge fan of the show. They called me and said come on and do a few episodes. I jumped at the chance,” she said on the red carpet outside the Lighthouse at Chelsea Piers.

Paula is leaving Idol

Paula Abdul leaves idol
Written: 8, 2009
I was a week at camp and just heard the news about Paula. Paula Abdul who has been a judge on the show since the show started. I think they have chosen Paula to be on the show in the first place because she is a nice smart person. She has been around longer than some of the young singers out there. I don’t think that it is right that they are replacing her. She is one of the nicest judges anyone would meet. She has told some of my favorite people from American Idol that they are great. I remember when she didn’t want Scott Macintyre to leave the show but Simon made him leave which was wrong.
People just need to back off and just give Paula what she wants because I think she deserves the money and the show. Simon needs less money, maybe like 30 million and they should give Paula more. Simon has said that he would like to have her back on the show. What is going on here? Paula has said before Kara came on idol, that the guess judges did not really work at all of the show. I total agree with that. I only have watched the eighth season but I truly know that Paula should not leave because she is really smart. They should keep her on the show. The show will be weird because they want the wrong people to be on idol as guest judges. I just think that is wrong. Do you watch the show and if so please tell me what you think about Paula leaving Idol?

Backstreet Boys biography

Backstreet boys biography
Written by Kristina Chen
The Backstreet Boys are known for selling of 200 million albums just making them the best selling boy band of all time. The Backstreet Boys started with Kevin Richardson, Howie Dorough, Nick Carter, and AJ Mclean. After that Kevin recommended his cousin Brian Littrell to tryout for the group. After that Brian was on a plan to Orlando, Florida. Brian was the last one to join Backstreet Boys. Backstreet Boys started in April of 93. They put out their first single in 97 called We got It Goin on which did not sell much. They went to Europe and recorded their first album called Backstreet Boys and it was released in 96. After that America was begging that the boys be recording at Jive records. Their manager is now Johnny Wright. Their second album was also named Backstreet Boys but was released in 1997 in the US. They also released another international album called Backstreet’s Back that same year.
In 1999 they released their second US album called Millennium. Millennium had reached to number one on the top Billboard 200 charts and stayed there for ten weeks. Their best single from the album was I want It That Away. The album had sold 1,134,000 copies and 500,000 it’s first day. Everyone says that Millennium was the highlight of their career. They had several singles from their album: I want It that Away, Show me the meaning of Being Lonely, Larger Than Life, and The One. Millennium had become the best sold album in 1999 with selling 9,445,732 million copies. Millennium remain on the Billboard top 200 charts for 93 weeks with selling 12 million. This album has made it to be certified, 13 times platinum. At the end of 1991 the guys had made a record contract deal that was 60 million dollars.
In 2000 they had released their third US album called Black and Blue. It sold 1.9 million in it’s first week it was released. This had made the band become the first artist to have two album sold with a million or more in the first week. This album had sold over 24 million world wide. The singles for the album are: Shape of My Heart, The Call, and More Than That.
During the times of 2002 to 2004 the boys had took a hiatus. Their fans were wondering if they would ever be back because so many other bands broke up. This hiatus scared their fans. In 2005 they released their fourth US album called Never Gone which made to number three on the billboard top 200 charts. This album had sold 291,000 copies it’s first week. Just in that same year Brian had released a Christian song called In Christ Alone which made it number one on the Christian Charts in the US. After all of their success so far Never Gone was made platinum in the US. They had four singles for the album: Incomplete, Just Want you to Know, Crawling Back to you, and I Still…
These guys had a lot that was going for them until 2006. In 2006 Kevin Richardson had decided to leave the group to focus on the next chapter in his life. Kevin left in June 2006. Kevin wanted to leave so he could start a family of his own. On October 30, 2007 the guys released their fifth US album without Kevin, calling it Unbreakable. It reached to number 21 on the adult contemporary charts and number 86 on the top 200 billboard charts. Unbreakable opened at number seven on the billboard top 200 charts with selling only 81,000 copies it’s first week. Only two weeks after Unbreakable was released the album dropped out of the top 100. Three years after Kevin left the group the guys will be releasing their sixth album called This is Us in October 6, 2009. This will also be the guys second album without Kevin. Their first single is Straight through My Heart which was released on the radio, on July 27, 2009.

Backstreet Boys are back!

I guess all of you guys just heard right! Backstreet Boys will be releasing their 6th US studio Album that has been confirmed as the title This Is Us. The guys have never been gone since they released unbreakable in 2007. This Is Us will be their second album since Kevin left in June of 2006. Here is a preview of the article from MTV.com:

With the release of their new single "Straight Through My Heart" and the excitement that coursed through the Newsroom when it all happened, it seems that, at least among a few of us MTV News staffers, there is some excitement for the new Backstreet Boys album, This is Us, which is due out on October 6.

For the album, the guys worked with producer RedOne on the single and hooked up with longtime collaborator and pop mastermind Max Martin. They also worked with T-Pain, and Brian Littrell talked to MTV News about working with the rapper (much) earlier this year.

The Top ten American Idol season eight

The top ten talk about being on tour. Here is a preview of the article from eonline.com:

As the American Idol top 10 rehearse day and night to get ready for their first tour, which kicks off Sunday, July 5 in Portland, Ore., one little logistical thing is bugging the boys.

"The guys' tour bus is overcrowded. There's only one bus for the boys and there are seven of us, and no, Adam and Kris don't get their own bus," Scott MacIntyre told us when we caught up with them at rehearsals last week. Before you think he's a squeaky wheel, all six of the other guys echoed that sentiment. Michael Sarver said, "I'm not gonna lie. I just wish it was part of the budget to have a third bus. It's like the testosterone tour this year. No one is looking forward to the cramped boys' bus."

Indeed, the girls have it easier with just three female contestants, a mom and a backup singer or two. "We got lucky," joked Allison Iraheta. "I feel bad for them!"

Read on to find out which contestant calls herself the "skanky one," which one disses the judges, which one has one tiny regret and what the American Idols Live Tour 2009 is going to sound like...

Michael Sarver: "The order of performances goes in the order of elimination. So, since I was the first of the top 10 to be eliminated, I'm opening the show. And the higher you got in the competition, the more songs you get to do in your own set. I think it's the best spot of the night because you get all that fresh energy from the crowd and you get to introduce the whole show. I need to get them on their feet and energized. I'm doing two songs I didn't do on the show, but I don't want to spoil it."

Megan Joy: "One song I'm doing is Amy Winehouse's 'Tears Dry on their Own.' It'll be jamsy [sic]. And my color is pink. I'm wearing a supertight, super minidress. I'm gonna be the skanky one. It's going to be fun."

Scott MacIntyre: "My set is going to be along the lines of singer-songwriter, pop-rock, British pop and very acoustic rock. But I'm planning on getting everyone singing. I will be using the piano in a major way on the tour."

Matt Giraud: "My Twitter fans wanted me to do 'Georgia on My Mind' [made famous by Ray Charles], and I listen to them, so that's one of my songs. What's great about this tour is that we have choreographers now for our own individual sets. We should've had that one the show. I didn't have the coolest moves like some people on the show."

Anoop Desai: "My set goes from ballads to [Bobby Brown's] 'My Prerogative,' but it'll be cooler than how I did it on the show. I'm embarrassed when I look back at that performance. This will be more refined. I like bigger crowds. I just don't like four people sitting at a table talking to each other while I'm singing. So yeah, I'm looking forward to the bigger crowds. It'll be nice to sing without having to worry about camera blocking."

Kris Allen Shows off

Have you wonder how the American Idol tour is going if you can't see the tour? I will tell you from this article posted from mtv.com. Here is a preview of the article:

LOS ANGELES — On Thursday night, the latest crop of "American Idol" superstars returned to the city that helped make them famous as the American Idols Live! tour descended upon L.A.'s Staples Center.
It was my first opportunity to get to see the infamous tour — it always hits the NYC area when we're super busy with Video Music Awards stuff — and it did not disappoint.
First of all, the energy in the room was dizzying. Before the show even began, the crowd erupted anytime L.A.'s own Adam Lambert popped up onscreen in never-ending monitor loops advertising Ford, Coke and Disney World. (It wouldn't be "Idol" without the product placement!)
The nearly three-hour concert kicked off exactly the way you'd want it to — with a full band jamming to the show's addictively cheesy theme song. Even better? The video graphics that went along with the overture made you feel like you were inside the opening credits. Fans have seen that androgynous robot hold up a microphone at least 500 times. The "Idol" tour lets you feel like you are the genitalia-free robot. I shouted executive producer Cecile Frot-Coutaz's name just to make it even more authentic.
The first half of the show is made up of short sets from the "bottom six" of the top 10. But what might sound like a marathon of "meh" on paper actually ended up being a string of surprises! Michael Sarver kicked off the show with infectious enthusiasm and an unexpected disco R&B shuffle. (Ever wondered what Ne-Yo's "Closer" would sound like being sung by a jovial white guy with a twang? It's better than you think.)
And while I wouldn't say Megan Joy looked comfortable onstage (accidentally crashing her mug into a microphone stand didn't help), at least she sounded better than she ever did on "Idol." Final "caw caws" included! Even Samantha Ronson and Lindsay Lohan agreed — the celebs were apparently two of the many fans in attendance, and they have the tweets to prove it!
Matt Giraud and Scott MacIntyre, the two piano men of season eight, didn't disappoint, particularly with a sequence during the group number that concluded act one. We all knew Matt had potential thanks to his Hollywood week "Georgia on My Mind" performance, and while his "Idol" journey was mired in "Who am I?" identity crises, Matt has found his footing big-time. His confidence was up 500 percent, his falsetto was strong, and his set featured more runs than Montezuma's revenge. The weak spot in his set list was, not surprisingly, a Fray song he bombed on the show. Don't get me wrong, his tour performance was miles better than the "Idol" abomination, but for a guy who is finally figuring out his own swagger, it was disappointing to hear Matt ape Fray frontman Isaac Slade's annoying Kermit the Frog stylings instead of showcasing his own vocal twists.

Concert Review

Here is a preview of the American Idol tour 09 from nationalpost.com:

American Idols Live! Tour 2009
GM Place, Vancouver
07/08/2009

By Graeme McRanor, Canwest News Service

Here's a tip: Exclamation marks should always be used sparingly, and should not be used to describe a concert tour.

Oh, sure, you could place one informally, say, at the end of "That sucked!" or "A marvelous evening of music!" as you leave the venue.

But in the name itself? Never.

Especially when said tour is called American Idols Live! and features a veritable who's who of the televised version's top 10 from Season 8.

Seriously, who are these people?

Okay, there's Kris Allen, the winner.

And Adam Lambert, who conspiracy theorists claim should have won. (He's gay, in case you didn't hear!)

Then, like the original theme from Gilligan's Island, there's the rest: Allison Iraheta, Anoop Desai, Danny Gokey, Lil Rounds, Matt Giraud, Megan Joy, Michael Sarver and Scott MacIntyre, arguably the most famous blind man in North America and unwitting recipient of Ryan Seacrest's ill-advised and unannounced high-five, probably the most awkward skin slip in television history.

Of course, as Lambert told me earlier in the day, the tour is more musical showcase than concert. Still, it's kind of like watching Stars on Ice, minus the stars.

Harsh? Well, as Simon (Cowell) says, it's a tough business.

Touring on television ratings is like signing a book deal because you're Joe the Plummer: Opportunistic.

Kris Allen at the NBA finals

Kris Allen is going to be performing on the NBA final.
Here is a preview of the article from thecelebritycafe.com :
“American Idol” winner Kris Allen will be singing the U.S. National anthem before the second game of the NBA finals on Sunday. Reuters wrote this wasn't the first time the NBA had idols sing for them. In the past, they worked with Carrie Underwood and Kelly Clarkson. It has now become a NBA tradition for "Idol" singers to perform before the game.

My American idol Recap

My American Idol Recap
Written: April 30, 2009
This week Kris, Matt, and Adam were in the bottom three. I was right and I was wrong about this week. I never thought that Kris would be in the bottom three. I think that next week Alison will go home. I found out the Kris Allen has a myspace and a twitter. www.twitter.com/krisallenmusic and www.myspace.com/krisallenmusic. If you ever need any Idol news just go to these two websites: www.tinaecnews.blogspot.com and www.twitter.com/idolatry. There is always lots of Idol news. I think that this week was the best week of all time. I really think that this year of Idol was the most talented people they ever had on the show. Lots of people have told me that I would be wrong about Adam but I guess I showed them because Adam was in the bottom three just actually the bottom two and that really got me to think that he can't win Idol.
America does not like him that much after him being in the bottom two. I really do not want to see Kris in the bottom three again. Next week I think that Adam, Kris, and Alison will be in the bottom three and Adam will be in the bottom two. I really believe that Danny is a better singer and America saw that from this week. How many of you guys got your prediction right? Please let me know. I know that I was wrong and right. So next week is Rock and Roll week and who do you think will be not so great? I think that Kris will be better than this week even though Kris was really good this week. I also think that Danny will be great even though I really liked his performance of this week.

My American Idol Recap

My American Idol Recap
Written: April 28, 2009
The top five were better this week. This week they did songs from the Rat Pack. I think that Kris really did a great job, just one of his best performances ever. I actually knew the song from one of the movies that I have watched before. I really think that Danny knows who he is and he knows how to sing and he will or might win American Idol. I think that the Rat Pack was a great choice for the week. I know that Kris did his best and that Danny did his best as well. I believe in them all of the way. I think that Alison did better even though I do not like her still. I think that Alison will go home even though the judges like her every week. I hope that Danny or Kris will not make it into the bottom three at this stage of the competition. I think that one of the people that I like will eventually be in the bottom three because the competition is getting down to where there will be more people going home. I hope that Kris and Danny will be in the top three. I have always believed in them not matter what just like in Scott Macintyre. I always believe in him and believe that he will become a better singer than he already is. Go to www.myspace.com/scottmacintyre to find out more news and information about Scott. I think it is great that Scott gets to go on tour with the rest of the contestants from American Idol. Not much is going to say since there are less and less contestants on the show. I believe that Kris will win American Idol. I really do not like Adam….I know people are tired of hearing me say that but I really don’t care. I just really don’t like him. No one will make him win American Idol and Kris is better than him anyways.

a new interview with Scott Macintyre

I am glad I am getting to know more about Scott with the interviews. Here is a preview of the article from realitytvmagazine.com:

America voted off Scott MacIntyre last week on American Idol and Simon Cowell chose not to give him a pass and keep him in the competition. We got to participate in an interview the next day where Scott MacIntyre opened up about his experiences on the show and what his future holds.
Question: What have you learned from your experience on
American Idol?
Scott MacIntyre: I really learned that, number one, I worked more quickly than I ever thought I could. There’s a very fast paced atmosphere involved with Idol and preparing new songs each week, sometimes a couple songs, because of the group number and because of other things going on in the midst of shopping and the Ford shoots and mentor shoots. It’s quite crazy and it’s really taught me to budget my time extremely well, and that’s something I’ll carry with me the rest of my life.
I’ve also learned that anything is possible. I never dreamed that I would be in the top eight of
American Idol when I was following the show a couple years ago and now here I am. It’s an amazing opportunity and the experiences I’ve had over the last couple weeks will never be duplicated again.
Question: What did you see in yourself that made you feel like you could be America’s next
American Idol?
Scott MacIntyre: From the very beginning I have felt like I have a story to share through my music and because of my life story and what I’ve overcome and that I pursued music as my main passion, vocally and pianistically, and all of that combined I felt like it would have been a shame not to share that with the world. And Idol’s given me the platform I’ve been hoping for, for many years in that I’m able to connect with so many people and so many people know what I’ve been through now and can hopefully be inspired by that. If I can get to this point out of almost 110,000 auditioners and end up in eighth place, I hope it encourages everyone to reach for their dreams. I hope it encourages people never to give up, and that’s the message I have for anyone in that situation.
Question: How tough was it when you’re standing there and two people want you to stay, two didn’t, and you just had to stand and wait, what did that feel like?
Scott MacIntyre: I’d have to say that was one of Seacrest’s most agonizing pauses. He’s getting a little too good at that. I was actually very thrilled to know that it was a split decision between the four judges and that was something very nice for me to walk away with knowing that the decision was split, it wasn’t unanimous. And even talking to Simon after the show he told me, and I also sensed that there was some inner turmoil in him making that decision and whatnot. So that was very nice for me to walk away with and I stand by my performance on Tuesday night.

Simon Cowell hard on Scott Macintyre

I think that it was unfair that Scott was kicked off. I really like him and it was hard for me to just watch this week episode. I just think Simon was unfair. He is not very nice to anyone. Here is a preview of the article from realitytv.com:

Simon Cowell has a simple explanation for why he wasn't in favor of using American Idol's new "The Judges' Save" veto ability to save Scott MacIntyre, a legally blind 23-year-old from Scottsdale, AZ, from elimination after he was revealed to be the week's low vote-getter during Wednesday night's live results show broadcast on Fox.
"I think it would have been a bit patronizing to [use] it tonight," Cowell told ex-girlfriend Terri Seymour during an interview with Fox's KTTV-TV Los Angeles affiliate following the results show's live broadcast. "When you listen to it back [his] vocals weren't that good." During the brief interview, Cowell also acknowledged he isn't sure if Idol's judges will ever use the one-time veto ability, which requires all four judges to be in unanimous agreement about its use and will automatically expire prior to the season's Top 5 finals round.
"If we don't [use it], we don't," Cowell said. "I'm not gonna save someone for the sake of it." Seymour also confirmed that, as their behavior on Wednesday night's broadcast had suggested, judges
Paula Abdul and Kara DioGuardi had been the two judges in favor of using "The Judges' Save" on MacIntyre. "I had a real girly-woman moment, like, I really didn't want him to go," DioGuardi told Seymour. Wednesday night's results show had featured Cowell revealing that Idol's four judges were split 2-to-2 about whether they should use "The Judges' Save" on MacIntyre after he had re-performing his Tuesday night performance show song in an attempt to convince the judges to use the veto ability. Although the disclosure seemed to immediately make it clear that MacIntyre wouldn't be getting "saved," Cowell initially held off on formally announcing the judges' decision.

Scott thought thaat he would be saved

Scott Macintyre thought that he would be saved on American Idol. He has said before that he went on the show to share his story as being blind his whole life. Here is a preview of the article from cnn.com:

Scott MacIntyre's quest ended like so many others who were voted off "American Idol" before him.

Scott MacIntyre was voted off "American Idol" Wednesday.

But the visually impaired, classically trained pianist's musical background is unique.
MacIntyre, 23, is the latest casualty in the singing competition, although the four judges appeared close to saving him.
He enrolled at Arizona State when he was 14 and graduated at the age of 19. He later earned a Marshall Scholarship to study music in the United Kingdom and earned a master's degree from the Royal College of Music and Royal Holloway, University of London. With an already decorated musical background, why pursue
"American Idol"?
"I didn't want to be an academic forever," MacIntyre told CNN. "I just started performing my own music more and started realizing that this is really where my heart is."
Watch why MacIntyre didn't make the cut »
MacIntyre stepped away from the piano on Tuesday night and instead strapped on an electric guitar for his performance of "The Search Is Over," which the judges described at best as "over-ambitious" and at worst as "atrocious." Despite the reviews, MacIntyre sticks by his performance.
Don't Miss
CNN.com's
'American Idol' blog
"I really wanted to bring out the guitar and surprise America," MacIntyre said. "I think it was the last thing anyone expected that the piano man would do on the show, and I had so much fun rocking out."
In contrast to last week's elimination round, where Simon Cowell had no qualms about not using the save option on Megan Joy, the four judges were split down the middle on saving MacIntyre, but eventually decided that it was time for him to go.
"For a second, I thought I actually would be saved, but you never know what's going to happen. It really meant a lot to me to know that the decision was as split as it was."

Scott Macintyre interview with EW

Here is another interview with Scott Macintyre:

ENTERTAINMENT WEEKLY: I think everyone wants to know this: How do you stay so positive and upbeat? SCOTT MacINTYRE: I think the main reason I'm able to maintain a balanced perspective about this is that I've been through so much in my life and I've come through things that really give me a bigger perspective and really put American Idol where I can see it for what it really is. I don't always get caught up in all the hype and ups and downs. For instance, during Hollywood Week, they didn't even air me during group round because there was no drama in my group. I'm able to escape that. I'm a very levelheaded person, I hope. You can notice when I'm talking to the judges, too, I try to use a clever, humorous, diplomatic approach.
I think people appreciate that about you — all your funny little jokes. Like, even last night, when you were asking whether you were wearing anything pink during the Ford shoot.I appreciate that. It's nice to be remembered as a humorous person. That's a compliment to anyone. There's a big element of personality to this show. And there's a big element of where we've come from and the likeability thing.
So, let's get down to really important business: Everyone loved the anecdote about the chocolate cake. Can you describe the cake for our readers? The quadruple chocolate cake was absolutely amazing — hats off to Chef David! I was loving the moist texture of the mousse layer and the cake layer was also very well done. And it had the chocolate shavings on top. Everything about it! I can't remember what the fourth layer was, but it doesn't matter because it was delicious. And I worked hard for that cake!
How so?It took a while. The story is they introduced Chef David to us, and they kind of let us know that the reason they hired him was because he cooks very consciously and a lot of healthy type of items. He handed out request sheets for anyone to write down certain types of cuisines that we desired. I wrote down, partially as a joke, triple-chocolate cake. I brought it up to him, and handed it to him. He gave me that — I could feel the look, I couldn't see it — but he gave me that silence. And he goes, ''That won't be happening any time soon.''
Real quick: You've been cooped up in the studio and the house for the last several weeks. What's the first post-media tour thing you'll do? Disneyland?Um, I don't know if they'll allow me to go to Disneyland! They might have to close it down. The first thing I'm gonna do is get home and really lay down on paper my idea for my next CD, my post-Idol CD. I'm gonna try to put my best foot forward as soon as possible.

Scott Macintyre gets booted off from American Idol

Here is a preview of the article from MTV.com:

Scott MacIntyre inspired "American Idol" fans with his story then wowed them with his piano playing and smooth vocals.
But
his "Idol" journey was over after singing Survivor's "The Search Is Over" during "songs from the year you were born" night. While the judges went back and forth about whether to save the visually impaired 23-year-old from Scottsdale, Arizona, they ended up cutting him loose.
We caught up with Scott to talk about the judges' save, ditching the piano and what's next.

Q: What were you thinking when the judges were wrestling over possibly saving you?
A: I have to say, that was one of Seacrest's most agonizing pauses. He's getting a little too good at that. [Laughs.] I was actually very thrilled to know that it was a split decision between the four judges, and that was something very nice for me to walk away with. ... Even talking to Simon after the show, he told me — and I also sensed — that there was some inner turmoil in him in making that decision. ... I stand by my performance on Tuesday night. You never know what the judges are going to say, but I think if people watch the performance back, especially in the context of everything else that went on that night, it was a good, solid performance. It's a television show, I always remind myself, so you can expect the unexpected. If the chips would have fallen a little differently, I think I could have gone on for a number of more weeks.

Q: What did you think about only 30,000 votes separating you and Anoop?
A: I thought a couple more people should have voted! [Laughs.] In all seriousness, I thought it was just amazing, because at this stage of the game, everyone has won in their own right in this competition, and there's not much difference between finishing eighth and finishing third. ... It's really what you do with the opportunity you've been given, and I have this incredible platform now, and America knows a little bit about my story, and I'm going to do everything I can to make the transition from being known as Scott on "American Idol" to, in a couple years, being known as Scott MacIntyre the singer/songwriter.

Scott ends it on American Idol

Here is a preview of the article from msnbc.com:

By Craig Berman
msnbc.com contributor
updated 9:42 p.m. CT, Wed., April 8, 2009

Scott MacIntyre became the sixth finalist eliminated on “American Idol” Wednesday on a night that brought out a level of emotion rarely seen from the judges’ stand.
MacIntyre, the first blind finalist in the show’s eight seasons, was an inspiration to many. Unfortunately for him, he couldn’t come up with performances to match his backstory. In a field where nobody is making big mistakes, it’s the smaller issue of bland song selection that did him in. But it appeared to be with genuine regret that the judges sent him on his way.
Blown Save: MacIntyre closed the show with a performance of “The Search is Over” that would likely have saved him had it occurred on Tuesday. “How can I convince you that what you see is real?” the lyrics asked, and the vocals were almost good enough to do exactly that. It earned him a standing ovation, and a long send-off speech from Paula calling him an inspiration to the world. Unfortunately for him, since the judges couldn’t agree after much discussion whether to save him or not, the “Idol” search is the one that ended for him.

Anoop escapes again: It’s getting to be a weekly occurrence for Anoop Desai to be left sweating until the show's final seconds. The 13th and last finalist selected, he’s been among the lowest vote-getters three times this season, and somehow always manages to escape elimination. This week, it was 30,000 votes that kept him just ahead of Scott in the race to stick around. No word on whether MacIntyre will take on the role of a politician and demand a recount.

Danny Gokey

I like when he sung What Hurts the most. He said that it had more meaning to him now then ever before. Here is a preview of the article from buddytv.com:

Danny Gokey can go suck a lemon. I'm here at my computer, having listened to each of Gokey's American Idol performances from this season on The YouTubes, and I am at a loss. I do not get it. Well, sorry – I get it. I understand why the masses are Gokey fanatics, I understand the appeal of his powerful rasp, his everyman demeanor, his designer glasses. His wife died – it's hard to actively dislike someone when such a tragedy has befallen them in the past year (I'm doing my best, though). He's got some things going for him, not the least of which is an appealing voice. But, I've watched these performances over and over, and listened to the judges' mostly overwhelming praise (Simon gave him a pounding a couple weeks ago, though for reasons I can't fathom; that performance sounded exactly like all the others), and the hype doesn't match the product. This is why Danny can go suck a lemon – his praise has been almost completely undeserved, and it represents one of the great American Idol hypocrisies: contestants are judged on unequal plains. They are not held to the same standards, and if the Idol judges and producers have, for some reason or another, deemed you worthy, you get considerably more leeway than others.
If Danny Gokey were a food, he'd be tofu. If he were a character on Saved By the Bell, he'd be Jesse Spano. If he were a planet, he'd be Mercury. If he were a letter in the alphabet, he'd be “t.” If he were a sitcom, he'd be Step By Step. If he were a soft drink, he'd be RC Cola. Danny Gokey has talent, but it's the type of talent that a person is born with, the type that is already cultivated, the type that doesn't require its owner to strive for improvement. Gokey's singing ability was pre-ordained, only requiring gross repetition. He is a voice, and that voice is all he is. He has no performing ability. The dancing is at best a distraction, at worst an abomination. Megan Joy obviously gets the award for worst dancer this season, but at least her bad dancing was interesting and self-referential. She was knowingly ironic. Danny, on the other hand, is trying. Trying really hard, and it doesn't work.

American Idol powerhouse

Who is your favorite from the American Idol top eight? I really like Scott and think that he did better than Anoop even though I still like Anoop. I just think people should give him more credit then people give him. He should not be number right he should trade places with Anoop. He will go home before Scott anyways.

Here is a preview of the aticle from EW.com:

8. Scott MacIntyre: (Last week: No. 9) Love the singer, but the singing? Well, not so much. It's true, his stripped-down rendition of "Just the Way You Are" was his best performance of the season, but it still had all the relevance of a Beta Tape Player in a Blu-Ray world, and contained more than its share of bunky notes. Since the judges pumped up the praise during "Top Downloads" Night, they don't need to worry about looking too cruel during "Songs from the Year You Were Born" Week. Isn't Top 8 enough for the inspirational contestant?

7. Lil Rounds: (Last week: No. 7) Is she one of this season's strongest singers, or an over-hyped shouter who keeps picking songs that are too big for her limited voice? The judges keep taking the former stance, but Lil's too-flat, too-strained "I Surrender" supported the latter opinion. It can't hurt her chances that she's one of only two remaining women, but Lil needs a breakout week to reverse weeks of dying buzz. The tragic array of hairstyles ain't helping, either.

6. Anoop Desai: (Last week: No. 5) After an awesome "Always on My Mind" and a solid "Ooo Baby Baby," 'Noop Dawg slipped backward with a decently sung but tepidly performed "Caught Up." Inconsistency is a problem, but so is his image. Needs to prove he's more than Joe Student singing an R&B ballad. Why not try delving into the alternative genre, and go for a radical style upgrade -- might we suggest a buzz cut? -- to make America take a second look/listen?

5. Matt Giraud: (Last week: No. 6) His off-pitch, almost maniacal cover of "You Found Me" was his biggest disaster since the "Viva La Vida" Incident. But Matt has a history of following up blunders with top-notch performances. Needs to take a lesson from season 7's talented Carly Smithson: The more desperately she wanted to win, the less fun it looked like she was having on the Idol stage, and the crueler Simon got with his feedback. In other words, how can anyone enjoy Matt if he's not enjoying himself?

Kris Allen from American Idol

Kris Allen's recap from American Idol. Here is a preview of the article:

It was an unbelievable, fantastic, brilliantly executed gig by Kris Allen singing "There Ain't No Sunshine" while playing electric keyboard along with a string quartet close beside him. The last act of the night gives everyone there a run for the title. He sang this like it was his. Simon said last week that all Kris needed was confidence in himself. Well Simon this boy learns fast as he was cool, comfortable and suave as he sang this tune into every young women's heart in his very unique style that seems so far to fit every genre he tries.Kris seems a natural for the Idol title as he has a great but controlled desire and passion that he drives easy or hard depending on what the song calls for and makes it seem so effortless. I wasn't crazy about his song choice but he like Adam made it his and pulled it off with charm and talent that only these two seem to possess. Adam you need to watch Kris and not be so self indulgent but go for votes because you are going to need them.

My American Idol Recap from Wenesday Night

My American Idol Recap
By Kristina Chen
Written on: April 1, 2009
What could be better but to start the month with another episode of American Idol? I think that tonight’s American Idol was great. I am glad that Megan went home only because that the judges did not like anything that she was doing. I just totally agree. I think that Scott will make it big. I am still glad that Anoop did not go home because he is a great singer even if the judges do not like what he sings or the songs that he chooses. I think that next week will be interesting to see the contestants sing songs from when they were born in. I hope that Scott will wow the judges and the audience. I love everything that Scott sings. He is an awesome singer. I hope that he will come out with another CD that will become number one. I love what Danny does.

I love when he sung What Hurts the most. It was so awesome. I think that Kris will bring it next week. I truly have a strong and great feeling about the four guys that I like. I think that they all will be in the top five. I think that Matt will go home next week. I really can’t wait to see who the winner will be. I just can’t wait until next week. Scott, Danny, Anoop, and Kris will just bring it. I hope that everyone will like them. I love them but I think that Anoop will be weaker just because he was in the bottom three twice. I know that he will still be in the top twelve. I believe in him but I also think that he will be weak and I hope he will not go home next week but I also think that he will go home. It is only because I have a feeling a bad feeling about him going home.
The competition is getting tougher and tougher as the weeks come and as more people just go home. Scott is going to be strong next week and so is Kris. Danny is going to be great. I love everything that he does. I loved when he sung Get Ready which was two weeks ago. I jus go online and download the videos from the internet. I also turn the videos into audio so that I can add them to my Zune. I just love American Idol and I also love music. Everything about American Idol is great because I never watched the number one TV show on TV. I am glad that Scott is keeping his new hair style because he looks really great. It was just a little funny but great to see that Scott wanted a triple chocolate cake and they called it Scott’s triple Chocolate cake.

I think that it was great. I also like the ford music videos that the contestants do. They are all so creative. Make sure that Adam will go home. I really do not like him. He is a really, really, really, bad singer. I do not like him a lot. I am not judging him or anything but I just need to give my opinion. Everyone has the right to give their opinion sooner or later. I love having the recap on American Idol or on anything. I think that Scott is great because I just think of him as a normal person and sometimes I just forget that he is blind. I really like him because that he is so smart and he is a really good singer. Just go to wikipedia.org to read a biography on him. I know that you guys will love to read about his life. I know that I did love it because he is really, really smart. I will be here again just next week to give another recap.

My American Idol Recap from Tuesday Night

My American Idol Recap

I think that this week for itunes best 100 was a great week for all of the guys that I like. I do not like Adam and that is only because he can not sing. I don’t not like the way he is screaming just like Simon said. I think that Megan will go home or maybe Matt will. There was a big reason as to why Matt was in the bottom three. I do not understand why Scott was in the bottom three. He is a great singer and I am glad that the judges liked his song choice. Once I heard what the judges had to say I was like all smiles and I was also like he defiantly knows his music and he will keep on bringing it every time. I think that he is best with the piano because there was like only one time that he did not play the piano and that is when he was sung Mandolin Rain. He is so wonderful with all of the challenges that he has like Paula said.

I think that Anoop now is not choosing very good songs for him like the judges said. If he wants to sing R&B then he should pick something like I don‘t know... but something different. I don’t really see him as an R&B type guy, which is only because he does not sing well with R&B songs. I like the slower songs like the ones that he has done in the past. I never knew that Kris played the piano; he is so awesome playing the piano. I love everything that he does. He is such a great singer and I see him going every far. I hope that he will be more famous than he already is. I liked the song that Danny sung. I think that Danny knows music because that song really fit him. He was awesome doing that song. He is one of the best singers on American Idol. I also love that song because one of my favorite artists Jo O’ Meara sings that song and she did great singing it.

At first I didn’t really know if he could sing this song but he really had it in him and he did a great job singing it. Last week Michael Sarver went home and it was just sad to see him go. He is still a great singer and I think that Simon made the decision by himself and wanted Michael to go home. He said a very rude comment and that was “Michael you have no chance at winning in this competition.” I think that Simon should just keep his most rude comments to himself. Sometimes when I don’t like someone and he gets rude a little or a lot I do agree. I am not the kind of person to judge too much but I sometimes do agree with the judges. I do think that Scott will be the next American Idol. I do believe that Scott is amazing and I am now loving his new look with his hair. I liked it when the judges complemented on his new look. I thought that it was a little different and weird for him but I love it for him. I can’t wait to see what he will sing next week or any week. I also can’t wait to see what the others will sing next week.

I think that Anoop is getting weaker and weaker as the competition gets tougher and tougher because there needs to be a winner that will keep on making number one albums and having number one songs like Jonas Brothers or Kelly Clarkson. I think that Danny or Scott will make it or maybe Kris. If Scott goes home next week then America does not know what they are even talking about. I strongly think that Matt will go home if not then I think Megan will go home. I just really want to see who will be in the bottom three. I know that Scott will never again be in the bottom three. I think that made him feel not that great. When I saw him in the bottom three if just made me not feel so great. I am glad he is safe and I hope he will be in the top five just like Kris and Danny. I hope that Anoop will be better next week. I hope that I do not sound like a judge because I am not that type of person. I will give you a recap on American Idol every week for every episode.
